But antique originals are hard to find, not just because the mechanisms are usually broken but also because the use of real ivory is now frowned upon. We’ve recreated the traditional butter churn design in Sterling Silver and Ivorine, a man-made ivory substitute used for nearly a century by jewellers, fishing reel and billiard ball and cue makers. Inside there’s a modern and durable stainless steel mechanism that can be adjusted to give a fine to coarse grind. The result is an attractive pepper grinder that makes a beautiful gift or a special present to yourself. A "P" engraved on the top button of the pepper mill differentiates it from the matching salt grinder. You can personalise this mill by having the bottom silver band engraved with a name, date and/or message.
