Hand Thrown Jar With Cork Lid

 Charming small storage jar with a gorgeous natural bark cork. Easily fits a pack of teabags but may other uses are possible! These plates are robust and rugged. Can be used everyday and go in and out of the dishwasher and microwave perfectly happily. Hand thrown at her South Wales studio, in rich stoneware with stunning sky-blue 'Chun' glaze. I develop all my own glazes and this glaze type has a history of over 1400 years. The 'Chun' blue colour develops because the glaze reflects blue light out of the glaze to the eye giving the glaze a depth and richness that a pigment cannot supply. Part of my 'Red Flash' range. Usually available in White and Blue/red flash. Only the blue available for immediate sale, but if you'd like white please order one. I'll be making them for the first firing of the year. Made from high fired stoneware clay. Dishwasher safe.
